Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and coChurch ("we", "us") for use of the coChurch app. By creating an account you accept them.
Who can use coChurch
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must set up and manage your account using a family code, and they remain responsible for your use of the app.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and give us accurate information. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
Acceptable use
There is no tolerance for abusive behaviour or objectionable content. Content that is reported is reviewed, and accounts that break these rules are removed.
You agree not to use coChurch to:
- harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone;
- post content that is obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, violent or discriminatory;
- contact, groom or endanger a minor, or seek personal information from one;
- impersonate another person, a church or a leader;
- send spam, scams, solicitations or chain messages;
- share someone else's private information, including anything you learn through a prayer request or a private message;
- break the law, infringe someone's rights, or attempt to gain access to accounts, churches or data that are not yours.
Prayer requests often carry the most sensitive things in a person's life. Treat what you read in this app as confidence, not gossip.
Reporting, blocking and enforcement
You can block another member, and you can report a direct message, a prayer request or a member from within the app. Reports go to an administrator at your church, and to the leaders of any group you both belong to.
To act on a report about a conversation, an administrator can read that conversation. They cannot read messages that have not been reported.
We and your church may remove content, suspend or remove an account, or remove someone from a church or group where these terms are broken. Serious conduct — anything involving harm to a minor or a credible threat to someone's safety — may be referred to law enforcement.
Your content
What you write stays yours. By posting it you allow us to store, display and share it within the app as the feature intends — showing your prayer request to your church, or delivering your message to its recipient. You confirm you have the right to post what you post.
Churches and administrators
When you join a church, its administrators and group leaders can manage membership, groups, meetings and attendance, and can review reported content. Churches are independent of us. We are not responsible for how a particular church runs its groups or what its leaders decide, though these terms still apply to everyone using the app.
AI features
coChurch includes AI features that answer Bible questions, explain passages and help build meeting schedules. They are generated by software, can be wrong, and are not spiritual direction, counselling, legal, medical or financial advice. Check anything that matters against Scripture and your church's leadership.
Availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We try to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Disclaimers and liability
coChurch is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what other users do. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and significant changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use coChurch after a change means you accept it.
